Eddie Johnston, aka Lontalius, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and producer known for intimate, emotionally direct music that moves between indie rock, R&B and ambient pop. His latest album Real Fruit Ice Cream is out now.

77!? That feels insane. I don't listen to most of them. I just love to hit that subscribe button.

Probably 9 or 10. I listen to podcasts when I feel like listening to music would push me over the edge (happens daily).

0. My apologies to the writing community but I am either downloading an ebook or buying it if it's local.

6. I recently deleted my archive because who really goes back to look at screenshots from 2015.

3,700. I would say 75% of these are from when I was single.

I have no idea. I deleted my Letterboxd account because I was tired of seeing people's stupid jokes. But I miss being able to look at all the movies I've seen.

4. It's a reading drought for me. I like looking at my computer more.

8 or 9? I go through phases of different games. Do you know that tweet that's like "guys only like games that got gun or ball in them"? That's me.

13. How many songs do you have saved/liked on your music app of choice (Spotify/Apple Music/Tidal/Youtube Music et. al.)?

1500 currently on Apple Music. I've been switching between Spotify and Apple. I can't really decide which one I like best. I feel I listen to less new music when I'm using Apple, but Spotify can feel so song/playlist focused that I get frustrated.

39. Mostly playlists of new music or an artist's entire work in chronological order...which is the best way to listen to an artist.

15. How many shows or live performances have you been to this year?

7? I'm not great at tracking these things. I went to 3 Split Enz shows in May because they are a very important band to me. I'm a big believer in going to multiple shows if you have the chance. When I was in LA I ummed and ahhd over buying tickets to see Tom Petty at the Hollywood Bowl, eventually deciding it was too expensive. He passed away literally the day after the show. I told myself I would try to see my favourite artists as much as possible while they are still around.

21. The only ones I check regularly are my own (join us), and a rugby league fantasy server. (Editor's note: This is the first time this question has been answered with anything other than 0 or "I don't know what that is.)

Just Apple Music.

Maybe 20 or so. My favourite is the goat Bob Lefsetz who will write cutting music industry commentary one day and then 3 paragraphs on his favourite granola bar the next.

1 to the New York Times, it's one of those ones where I pay $1 a month or something. I've been thinking about paying for Pitchfork.

I live right by a supermarket so sometimes not many at all. Sometimes I'll just go in and walk around for a while.
